About this site

This site was founded on behalf of some Muslim Youth in order to face some of the current problems in BOTH : the Muslim world & the non-Muslim world which we identified them basically as :-

The problems in the Muslim world:

Actually there are lot's of problems but to sum-up we think that all these problems have one root problem which has to be solved...which is THE IDENTITY PROBLEM...Many of the people living in the Muslim world right now don't know WHO THEY ARE??? being influenced by different Models which makes it hard for them to take the decision about choosing their identity?? & currently the most 2 popular Models for people to follow (due to mdeia spotlighting them more than others) are either: The Muslim Extremists OR The west copycats

As for the second it appeared as a result of colonialism of the Muslim countries in the 19th & 20th century & is still fed through globalization (which is actually Americanization) & the western "powerful" media, not to mention the feeling of being culturally invaded. Although most of the Muslim countries are free from colonialism now. Many of them used either of the two models for the countries policy (secularism and religious extremisim), the first model is a direct repulsion to the second as it's the opposite which made this model somewhat "popular" in the Muslim world...But the truth is neither of these too was able to dominate the other when it comes to the Muslim & Arab Youth as most of the youth are lost between these too which may cause a lot of problems. And as we sincerely believe that the youth can change this world, & the model we follow is neither of those 2 previously mentioned as our model is : The moderate approach, which means that we take from the west what suits our culture and traditions and values inspired from our religion; unlike the western copycats who would imitate like the west in everything without consideration of the Islamic ethics or embrace and promote ideas and ideoligies that are against Islam which we entirely reject since they are a threat to the Muslim identity of the Muslim youth examples of such rejected ideas are : (Atheism, Secularism, Liberalism,..etc). But at the same time we also reject the corrupted thoughts and ideas of Muslim extremists who defame Islam through their promotion of extremist acts which give Islam a bad reputation, such acts are like (promoting terror, violence, fanaticism and not accepting difference in opinions,..etc). We want to say that neither this nor that represent the Muslim silent majority who follow our religion without compromising it as prophet Muhammad (pbuh) taught as and also without being extremists. This Model (which existed previously in the middle ages in the Muslim world during what is known as Islamic golden age) is starting to grow among the people in the Muslim world: both Muslims & Non-Muslims as we believe this is the TRUE ISLAM ,that's why we will be presenting role models (Prophets of Islam, companions of the prophets, pious people mentioned in the Quran, great Islamic figures in history,...etc) from our countries & histories who were -throughout history- following this ideology & NOT JUST THAT, we will be also presenting role models from other parts of the world of NON-MUSLIM people who served all humanity, thus showing the west that we can accept things from their cultures that does not contradict our culture . For all those we will be clarifying where they went wrong & their good deeds too off course. In this way we will be bringing the best of the 2 worlds & since having a conversation with the other is necessary...we present Muslim role models to show the west the good people we've had through history, Moreover there is a separate section here that clears the misconceptions about Islam in the west.
We started presenting role models by presenting 4 people (we will be putting more people later) or shall we say 4 heroes who are (in order of appearance in history): Saladin, Ahmed Urabi, Omar Al-Mukhtar, Malcolm X.....the first 3 were chosen as they are moderate people who understand the TRUE MEANING OF "JIHAD" this pure word that was misunderstood in the west as a holy war while the true meaning of the word is not like that at all, the 4th was chosen as he is a clear evidence on how would TRUE ISLAM change a western & also this a meeting point between both Islam & the West although many try to disfigure him today. But we will NOT treat those 4 differently than the other role models we will be presenting their mistakes too. Yes they are from us but we're non-biased too!!! Also, there will be non-Muslims whom we see as good role models too

For more details about the critereon to be met in the characters we choose as role models...click here

We will be writing about sports, arts, culture , politics & everything through our look on how every thing goes on around us...............

This site is not owned by anyone, it belongs to all Muslims and it is not a follower of a certain political party, group or any particular denomination, but we're just a group of young Muslims who seek to reform our society by spreading moral values and conduct of the personalities who serve this ideals and this is the only common thing among people who work voluntary here, and anyone can - whatever, whatever his/her ideas and beliefs - to participate with us but under the condition of not trying to promote any ideology which contradicts with the teachings of Islam (the areas where there are different opinions and views, Islam's views will be taken as the official view), this is according to the saying of Imam Muhammad Rashid Rida - May Allah have mercy on his soul - : "We gather on the things that we agree upon and excuse each other in the things we disagree upon."

The logo above represents the main idea of the website; that is role models since the the black stickman represents the role model while the grey one represents someone trying to follow his example, which is our aim actually.
