The objective of selecting those personalities as featured role models ^Top of the page^
The goal is to make younger generations of Muslims
(Youth and Teens) to feel proud of their Islamic heritage and to be
proud for being practicing Muslims and to strengthen the sense of
belonging to
Islam and its moderate approachs (according to the Islamic definition
of moderation off course not the western one !!!)
Conditions to be met in the figures we choose ^Top of the page^
1 - Global or regional fame of the figure, since
Islam is a
universal religion then we ought to choose for it also universal
ambassadors so that we can easily draw the attention of people around
the world to Islam
through them and also we will make sure that the people we select are
not those who seek fame and
reputation (usually those who seek fame are very far from following the
Islamic teachings)
2 - The majority of the selected person's morals
has to be good morals it's not necessary to be perfect, in fact it
is almost impossible to be perfect, we do not choose angels from
heaven, we understand that we choose human
beings who have made some errors and mistakes but these mistakes does
not cancel the majority of their deeds which are good deeds
(Important note:
other criterieon will be developed made specific for the prophets
and messengers,
the sahaba -companions of the prophet-, so please note that this
particular current criteria is for the other
personalities)
3 - Moderation that the selected person is not an
extremist and not a person who imitates the bad and decedant things in
the western culture (i.e. follows the teachings of Islam)
How to distinguish a moderate person from others ?
4 - Belonging to Islam by taking positive attitudes
and not just personal practicing rituals such as praying and fasting
and paying zakat (alms to the poor) one of the most important
characteristics of our Islamic faith is that there is no such thing as
"religious priesthood" Islam does not call people for full-time praying
and ignoring and
retiring people, on the contrary Islam calls for active participation
in the reformation of the community. And
thus we want to plant this in the hearts of youngsters and youth that
very important part of being commitment to Islam is through taking
positive action(s) and therefore
taking positive attitude(s) is what made the figures presented and
highlighted here in this website shine as good role models
5 - As for
non-Muslims their morals and manners must be very close and similar to
those of the Muslims
such that the differences between them and the Muslims does not exceed
the issue of religion and
beliefs (which we will not show when their personalities are mentioned)
and that
they have never done anything harmful to the interests of
Muslims, and that they have done acts which Integrate with the
teachings of Islam (i.e. approved and encouraged by Islam) without
being Muslims such as social reformation of their communities or taking
care of the
poor, ...etc. We will mention here their good deeds just to take the
positive aspects of these figures without taking from them
their ideologie(s) or religious belief(s) that are contrary to our
religion and that is according to the
words of the Prophet Muhammad(pbuh) : "Wisdom is the aim of the
believer. Wherever he finds it, he is
more worthy of (having) it".
How to distinguish a moderate person from others ? ^Top of the page^
Answer: when you find the advocates of extremism
and the advocates of
Westernization agree on attacking a specific person knows that this
person is moderate because if he/she was biased to one of these two
rejected directions, you wouldn't find those two (where each one of
them belongs to two distinct trends and ideolgical
directions) agreed upon attacking him/her!!!
It is very normal that you will find here praising in the figures
presented here simply because they are role models!!!
Also we would like to point out that these
standards and critereon are not carved on stones so it can be changed or
altered any time in accordance with any new thing urgent or anything important
or any inquiry we need to clarify to our distinguished visitors
